Abstract

There is a narration from Ibn Ishaq in Al-Sirat al-Nabiyyah of Ibn Hisham that after the battle of Hunain, the Prophet gave some things from the spoils of Hawazan to the "Mafefa Qulubham" who were nobles in order to appease them. "The Composition of their Hearts" is taken from verse 60 of Surah At-Tawbah, which Ibn Hisham quoted at the time of its revelation under the events of the Battle of Tabuk in the 9th year of Hijri and among the verses that were revealed about the hypocrites. There are some people". This article, relying on biographical sources and historians and taking advantage of interpretations, in a historical-comparative and qualitative way, tries to investigate the issue of how far the narration of Qulobham author can be accepted according to the principles of historiography, such as the authenticity of the document, and the conformity with historical reports. And for what purpose has it become famous in news stories. The findings of the research show that the narration of "The Composition of their Hearts" with the verse cited in the "Annama Al-Sadaqat..." report has no time and content consistency and is placed in the news of Sirah with a customized historiography approach.
